Gary Tims joins [H+S Aviation team] with 30 years aviation experience and recent focus on TFE731
EBACE – Geneva – H+S Aviation, a BBA Aviation Global Engine Services company, has appointed industry expert, Gary Tims, as the manager of its Portsmouth, UK regional turbine centre (RTC). Tims has 30 years of experience in aviation, with the last seven years spent managing a UK FBO engine shop – specialising in Honeywell’s TFE731 engine maintenance and repair.
H+S Aviation has recently announced expanded support capability for TFE731 engine operators in the EMEAI region after gaining OEM authorisation for line maintenance on the Honeywell engine series. Tims will ensure TFE731 operators, as well as other authorised engine fleets, are well-supported in the field and for other line maintenance repairs.
“H+S offers world leading service and support to an established customer base, and I’m really excited to be extending the coverage to encompass Honeywell TFE731 series engines,” Gary Tims, H+S Aviation UK RTC Manager said. “In my prior role, I was the first point of contact for customers and completed field events and major periodic inspections (MPIs) in the shop, so I’m looking forward to getting our team trained up to support our extensive in-region customer base.”
